Imagine a happy time in your past, like a holiday meal...

Maybe you can smell a turkey in the oven or your mom’s pumpkin pie.

Maybe you can hear the clink of someone setting the table or snippets of conversations.

Maybe you can feel the tight shoes you are wearing or how your hair is braided that day.

Maybe you can see the whole scene before you, the people, the place.

Maybe you can even taste your favorite dessert that is served that day.

You’re not there, and it’s in the past, but you can bring back the memory in finite detail, all while you’re sitting here today.

When people ask me how I communicate with people and animals who have passed into Spirit, I can’t really explain how it happens. I can only describe a scene like above. That’s essentially how it happens. Sometimes I hear them speak, and I see them like they’re standing before me. Sometimes they show me a scene or a “video” of something that happened, and I can see, hear, taste, smell, and feel everything about it.

Communicating with those in spirit is something that, somehow, comes naturally to me. And acting as a medium between the dead and the living is something I view as a sacred privilege.  When those in Spirit provide answers, comfort, instructions or just validation that they are okay, the living can let go of the questions and know that all is well.  There is no greater satisfaction for me in my work.

When a client comes to me for a session, I can’t guarantee that any specific person in Spirit will “visit” with them. What we retain after we pass on is our personality, our beliefs, the essence of who we are. And if Uncle Joe was very quiet when he was alive, he may not have much to say now that he’s dead. But sometimes, having reconnected with his or her spiritual teachers, a person in Spirit gains insight and offers the comfort needed. And usually there are loved ones who just can't wait to talk to the client again!

The process is mysterious and yet simple. I prefer not to get too much information up front unless it is a short reading and we want to maximize the information coming through. But it is extremely helpful for the client to validate if what I am saying sounds familiar. Sometimes the client cannot identify the individual in Spirit who seeks to convey a message. It is helpful to know if this is happening so that I can ask them to step aside and allow the client’s other loved ones to come through. It is interesting to note, however, that 9 times out of 10, a client who could not recognize someone communicating with them  during the session is able to identify that person at some point after the session. While I don’t want the client to feed me information, I do feel that appropriate validation can lead to a much better reading.

People come to me when their animals have died, or when a loved one or a friend has died, and I do my best to provide the channel through which they can communicate.   It is my honor and privilege to do so, and I am always thankful for the opportunity.
